Dictogloss in Saudi EFL Context: Potential Effects on Students’ Writing Skill and Attitudes towards Learning English

چکیده

This quasi-experimental study investigates the effects of dictogloss strategy on Saudi EFL writing skills and attitudes towards learning English. It also measures students’ English using activities. The opens doors for teachers new teaching methods techniques language in general, away from traditional teaching. In order to answer two main questions study, a sample college-level students was randomly selected divided into an experimental group control group. researcher used when five weeks, whereas were taught way. Students matched according their proficiency, instructed by same teacher (the researcher), similar age. After weeks instruction, both groups completed another post-test attitude questionnaire. Measures means, standard deviations, ANCOVA determine differences between groups. results revealed significant statistical difference skills, including engagement motivation class output, favoring concludes with recommendations training that texts should be topic-based materials integrate different collaboratively.
